A Runaway Success

Following the runaway success of the award winning transport training DVD / videos (one for "Drivers’ Hours" and one for "Tachographs And Charts") a series of comprehensive training packs have been developed to complement these DVD / videos.

Four Industry 'Reference' Training Packs

Drawing from operators own experiences, and with commonly asked questions gathered from over a decade of providing helpline services, TAC has produced a series of training packs:
  • Digital Tachographs
  • Drivers' Hours (And Associated Working Time)
  • Tachographs And Charts
  • Malfunctions And Malpractice

Praise

They have been praised by enforcement agencies and operators who have purchased them. (The purchase can also include a demonstration seminar by TAC.)

Real Life Examples

The training packs provide real life and practical examples in three areas.

"Drivers’ Hours (And Associated Working Time)"

This gives a clear and concise explanation of EC Drivers’ Hours. Key areas covered include:

  • Breaks from driving (the 4½ hour rule; 4 hour rule for passenger)

  • Maximum driving times

  • Daily rest periods

  • Weekly rest periods (after 6 and 12 days)

  • Compensation for rest reductions.

  • 6 hour and 9 hour break requirements for Working Time

  • Night working

Many real life examples are used to demonstrate specific points. There is a comprehensive set of slides, with notes accompanying them.

"Tachographs And Charts"

This is a practical, down-to-earth guide to tachograph use. Key areas covered include:

  • Tachographs in practice

  • Completion of the centre field

  • Employer responsibilities

  • Driver responsibilities

  • What to do in the event of a tachograph breakdown.

Again, many examples are included to illustrate specific points. Many real life examples are used to demonstrate specific points. There is a comprehensive set of slides, with notes accompanying them.

"Malfunctions And Malpractice"

There are a number of ways information can be recorded onto a tachograph chart. Be it a malfunction of the tachograph instrument, malpractice, or deliberate falsification of records, this is a practical guide to these areas.

Electronic And Standard Format

All training packs come with overhead projector slides and detailed notes. They are also available in electronic format for use with computer projectors.

Comprehensive

The packs are very detailed and arguably the most comprehensive on the market today. Whilst not all the information contained in them is applicable to all operations, by selecting appropriate items from these extensive packs, a tailored course can be produced for virtually any operation.

Regular Updates

There is an update service linked to the training packs, together with optional on-site support.

Excellence In Training

Since beginning in 1982, TAC has built up an enviable reputation for excellence in training, and a wealth of experience in dealing with practical problems. Whether training trainers, drivers or managers these comprehensive packs have something for every operation.
