The CPC training courses run by TAC offer practical guidance in preparation for the external examination set by OCR on behalf of the Department of Transport. The training course covers the whole range of the new syllabus for the Certificate of Competence. The requirement for Goods Vehicle Operators to hold this qualification is contained in the Goods Vehicles (Licensing of Operators) Act 1995. These regulations implement EU Directive 74/561 which includes a need for persons wishing to engage in the occupation of road haulage operations to be professionally competent.

TAC offers CPC courses that cater for all needs. Whether you prefer to study during the day, evening, at home, or have a specific on-site course tailored for your needs, there is a CPC course for you.

The course duration allows sufficient time to deal with the comprehensive syllabus, examination style and also to provide the tutor with enough time to provide individual tuition. The interactive course includes case study, examination practice and advice on examination technique.
